HEY ALL YOU MIDDLE SCHOOLERS OUT THERE!! WE NEED YOUR HELP! The LEO club has decorated a tree at Lacks. We are trying to beat out the other organizations in town to win the title of BEST CHRISTMAS TREE IN NEW BRAUNFELS. WE NEED YOUR HELP! Go to Lacks and put a can of food, or 2, or 200, under the LEO tree. Which one is it you ask? It's the ONLY SAFARI themed tree in the store! You can find it by the appliances. Every can of food that you donate at our tree, is a vote for us. The REALLY neat thing is that ALL the food donated goes to the FOOD BANK. CAN we do it? YES we CAN!!!! (O.K., Coach Winki's secret is out. Now you all know that she's a Bob the Builder fan!)
Attention All LEO Club Members - Boy, did we jingle those bells or what?! What an incredible time the LEO club had caroling at Colonial Manor! It was awesome to be able to spread some Christmas cheer and Christmas Mice to our senior friends across the street. Don't forget our last meeting of the year on Wednesday, in Mr. Barrett's room, at 3:00pm. We will be discussing the upcoming activities in the next semester and closing out some business from this semester. You MUST bring your money or any leftover popcorn to the meeting.

So, if you are GAME READY, we'll see you at the meeting on Friday at 3:00 in the small gym.

There are still open spots on Sunday if you would like to work.
The 7th grade A &B teams finished off their seasons last night at Unicorn Stadium with two shutout victories. The B team came out swinging and never let up till the final whistle. The Unicorns opened the game with an 8 minute drive and capped it off with a 20 yard scamper by tailback Justin Davila. Scores were also contributed on two separate punt returns for touchdowns by Quarterback Weston King. It seemed as the game was finished after Koulton Hall took it 88 yards to the house, but the Cougars gave it one last fight. Canyon managed to drive to the 1 yard line and fumbled with Blake Springfield on the recovery locking up the 38-0 victory. The A team played a defensive battle but eventually overmatched the Cougars with an 8-0 win! In the second quarter there had yet to be a score by either team, until the Unicorn defense pinned the Cougars inside the 5 yard line, and got a safety on a botched punt attempt. Later Jared Molina scored on a 20 pass from quarterback Jacob Cantu, with help from bone crushing blocks from Marshall Lewis and Martin Gonzales. The A team offensive line dominated the Cougars all night long and kept the ball moving. The defense played great football and sealed the game with a last minute interception by Jacob Cantu! Congratulations to the 7th grade teams on a great season! Go BLUE!

Go BLUE!

WOW! The FCA had an incredible night at NEWK'S on Friday! 59 students took part in the Compass Courses. In spite of dangerous cactus, spiders, mosquitoes and the occasional spooky tree limb, all made it to the safety of the campfire and had S'MORES. Wait, has anyone seen Miranda, Peyton or Georgeanne? FCA members don't forget that Wednesday is "See Ya AT The Pole". We will meet at the flagpole at 7:00.
Did you hear any roaring on Saturday? The LEOS went to NEWK'S on Saturday for leadership and teambuilding activities. 23 Middle School students and 8 High School students enjoyed a day of high and low ropes together. We spent the day going through mazes, making a pipline and using our skiing skills. If you have not joined LEOS yet and are interested, see Mr. Barrett or Coach Winki. It's not too late!
