Would you like to participate in an exciting 7-day career exploration summer program held at Central Texas Technology Center in New Braunfels? You will learn about manufacturing careers with instruction in plastics, robotics, autoCAD, welding, automotive technology and computers planned. If interested, please come to the counseling office as soon as possible and pick up an application from Ms. Miller. Completed applications are due back to the counseling office by Friday, May 1.

Project Omnibus Will be meeting this Saturday, March 14th. We will start in the choir room at 9:00 am.

Attention to those of you trying out for cheerleader..........Make sure you have your packets turned in next Wednesday at the latest. Also, you need to stop by Mrs. Thompson's Classroom - Room #302 by the end of the day today. AGAIN, if you are trying out for cheerleader you need to stop by Room #302 TODAY - ANYTIME!

HEY UNICORN TENNIS PLAYERS, LET'S RAISE A RACKET TODAY WHEN WE PLAY CORBETT MIDDLE SCHOOL. DON'T FORGET, WE WILL BE PLAYING AT CLEMMENS HIGH SCHOOL. MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE YOUR RACKET, YOUR UNIFORM AND WATER FOR THE MATCH.

NBMS PLAYERS NEED TO MEET COACH SHEPPARD AT THE CONSESSION STAND AT 3:45, READY TO GO.

To all 7th and 8th graders. Braunfels Foundation Award has been extended. Come by and pick up an application at the counseling office today. The award is a great opportunity to receive a $500 savings bond.

NBMS Band will perform at a pre-UIL concert @ NBMS at 6:45pm today.

We are on Advisory schedule today.

Tomorrow... 6th and 7th graders will be taking the RELEASED Math TAKS test; 8th graders will be taking the RELEASED Science TAKS test.

Thursday... 8th graders will be taking the RELEASED Social Studies TAKS test;

The 8th grades Book Club will meet at 7:45am on Thursday... in the Library.

FCA will meet after school on Friday.

This week the Unicorns will ravel to Church Hill for their final BB game of the season!

StuCo members...LISTEN UP!


You don't...DO NOT...want to miss our next Student Council today, March 2nd, after school, in the cafeteria. It will be quite a SOCIAL event! If you haven't ordered a shirt yet, this will be the absolute LAST chance you have to do so, so REMEMBER to bring your money! Be there or be round...square...whatever...Just BE THERE!

On Monday, March 9th all (7th and 8th grade) boys and girls who are interested in running track this year will meet at 3:45 in the Big Gym.
After the meeting, there will be practice at the MS until 5:00. You must have a physical on file with the boys or girls coaches to run. Please see Coach Hopper for more information in room 502.


Cheerleader tryouts are just around the corner for any 6th or 7th grader interested in cheering for NBMS next year.


There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, March 4 in the NBMS cafeteria for you and your parents. It will start at 6:30, so don't be late!

Everything you will need to know about tryouts and cheering next year will be discussed, so it's really important that you attend the meeting.


Once again, we are pleased to announce that the Braunfels Foundation Award funded by the Harry and Christine Dierks Memorial Fund will be offered to the seventh as well as the eighth grade this year. That is one girl and one boy from each grade will be selected as a winner. Emphasizing good citizenship, a $500.00 savings bond will be presented to the winners. In addition, one girl and one boy from each grade will also be awarded $100.00 savings bonds as runners up.


Applications for this scholarship should be completed and returned to the counseling office NO LATER THAN March 2nd, 2009, by 3 PM. That's TODAY!

We are indeed grateful to the Dierks Foundation for providing this unique opportunity to focus on the positive contributions and abilities of our young people today. Come by and pick up an application in the counseling office.
