MS News - Friday, February 27, 2009

The 7th grade A team took on Canyon Thursday night for the second time this season. The Unicorns came out fast and pounded the Cougars up and down the court. The Unicorns were shooting lights out, knocking down seven 3 bombs in the game. Big Blue led by as much as 21 in the second half but a late surge by Canyon made it close in the end. The Unicorns took the victory by a score of 50-44.

The 7th grade B team put the hammer down on Canyon as well. This one was never close with the Unicorns charging out to a 6-0 lead to finish the first quarter. At half the count was 18-3 good guys. Big blue never backed off and a comeback was never an option. The Unicorns took the victory 29-16 to sweep the Cougars for the season.

Next week the Unicorns travel to Church Hill for their final game of the season!
