You don't...DO NOT...want to miss our next Student Council today, March 2nd, after school, in the cafeteria. It will be quite a SOCIAL event! If you haven't ordered a shirt yet, this will be the absolute LAST chance you have to do so, so REMEMBER to bring your money! Be there or be round...square...whatever...Just BE THERE!
On Monday, March 9th all (7th and 8th grade) boys and girls who are interested in running track this year will meet at 3:45 in the Big Gym.
After the meeting, there will be practice at the MS until 5:00. You must have a physical on file with the boys or girls coaches to run. Please see Coach Hopper for more information in room 502.
Cheerleader tryouts are just around the corner for any 6th or 7th grader interested in cheering for NBMS next year.
There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, March 4 in the NBMS cafeteria for you and your parents. It will start at 6:30, so don't be late!
Everything you will need to know about tryouts and cheering next year will be discussed, so it's really important that you attend the meeting.
Once again, we are pleased to announce that the Braunfels Foundation Award funded by the Harry and Christine Dierks Memorial Fund will be offered to the seventh as well as the eighth grade this year. That is one girl and one boy from each grade will be selected as a winner. Emphasizing good citizenship, a $500.00 savings bond will be presented to the winners. In addition, one girl and one boy from each grade will also be awarded $100.00 savings bonds as runners up.
Applications for this scholarship should be completed and returned to the counseling office NO LATER THAN March 2nd, 2009, by 3 PM. That's TODAY!
We are indeed grateful to the Dierks Foundation for providing this unique opportunity to focus on the positive contributions and abilities of our young people today. Come by and pick up an application in the counseling office.
And Remember.... NBMS Rocks!
