June 9-20 7th grade students going to 8th are invited to attend a Math Camp at Texas State. A bus will pick students up at New Braunfels Middle School at 7 am and will return around 12:30 or 1 pm. If you are interested please pick up an application in the front office or the counselor's office. All applications are due by May 14th.


Do you have talent that you want to show off to the whole school?

Well, you're in luck because Student Council will be holding auditions for this year's talent show next Wednesday, May 14th, in the cafeteria starting at 2:50.

Guidelines will be handed out during 1st period in the next couple of days. If you are too anxious to wait you may talk to Mr. Alcala, Mrs. Shephard or Mrs. Schmid any time AFTER school


Tickets for the show will be $1 and will go on sale next week during lunch. Seats are limited so it is first-come-first-serve!!

Again tryouts are next Wednesday, in the cafeteria, starting at 2:50 - See you there.


8th Grade students: If you would like to take a summer school class at the high school this summer and earn both high school credit and COLLEGE CREDIT--you still have an opportunity to sign up! Please come to the counseling office as soon as possible for the information!

HEY, HEY, FCA - If you are planning to go on the NEWK'S fieldtrip on May 16, please sign up with Coach Winki. The cost is $8.00. You can sign up and pay anytime this week. We will leave school at 1:30, on the 16th and we will finish up at NEWK'S around 6:00pm. Also, don't forget the meeting this week on Friday at 3:00 in the small gym. We will be setting our meeting time for next year, discussing topics, possible speakers and next year's activities.

Attention All LEO Club members - There will be a mandatory LEO Club meeting on Wednesday, May 7th. The meeting will be in Mr. Barrett's room at 2:50. We will be through at 3:40. We will be dusting off the roster, setting meeting times for next year and signing up for our NEWK'S fieldtrip this Friday. If you have any questions, see Mr. Barrett or Coach Winki.


Congratulations to the NBMS golf team for having a good showing at district.

Individual Award winner 7th grader Chase Nunez came in 1st out of a field of 35 players.

Team Awards go to

7th grade boys who came in first (Chase Nunez, Jake Corbin, Jacob Mendez, Jordan Studdard, and Zach Cameron.

8th Grade Girls came in 3rd (Emma Roddy, Sierra Smith, Lauren Akeroyd, and Quincey Kendrick who played as an 8th grader all year.)

8th Grade Boys came in 2nd (Hunter Lightsey, Garrett Sohn, Kyle Dees, Ryan McDonald, and Scott Helms)
