June 9-20 7th grade students going to 8th are invited to attend a Math Camp at Texas State. A bus will pick students up at New Braunfels Middle School at 7 am and will return around 12:30 or 1 pm. If you are interested please pick up an application in the front office or the counselor's office. All applications are due by May 14th.

Well, you're in luck because Student Council will be holding auditions for this year's talent show next Wednesday, May 14th, in the cafeteria starting at 2:50.
Guidelines should have been handed out during 1st period yesterday. If you didn't get them and are interested, go see Mrs. Shephard and pick up a copy today.
Tickets for the show will be $1 and will go on sale next week during lunch. Seats are limited so it is first-come-first-serve!!
Again tryouts are next Wednesday, in the cafeteria, starting at 2:50 - Be prepared and see you there.
8th Grade students: If you would like to take a summer school class at the high school this summer and earn both high school credit and COLLEGE CREDIT--you still have an opportunity to sign up! Please come to the counseling office as soon as possible for the information!
Attention all LEO Club members - Don't forget tonight's compass course at NEWK'S. We will meet in front of the main lodge at 8:00pm. We will be finished between 10 & 10:30pm. Please bring a flashlight and some bug spray. If you were not at the meeting on Wednesday and plan on coming tonight, you must sign-up with Coach Winki.
This announcement is for all the students that received applications to the PAL class. If you are interested in applying for PALS, you must get your application turned in to Mrs. Legg or to Coach Winki by Monday, May 12. If you need another application, see Mrs. Legg. We will begin the selection process Wednesday, May 14. No applications will be accepted after Monday.
HEY, HEY, FCA - If you are planning to go on the NEWK'S fieldtrip on May 16, please sign up with Coach Winki. The cost is $8.00. You can sign up and pay anytime this week. We will leave school at 1:30, on the 16th and we will finish up at NEWK'S around 6:00pm. Also, don't forget the meeting this week on Friday at 3:00 in the small gym. We will be setting our meeting time for next year, discussing topics, possible speakers and next year's activities.

Students: It's time to get books turned in to the library and pay those fines. All books are due by Friday, May 23. There will be no checkouts after May 19. Notices will be handed out to Language Arts teachers and all library business should be concluded by the last day of school. Fines and checkouts do carry over to the high school for 8th graders, so please take advantage of weekly specials now!
Cheerleaders need to report to Mrs. Stenstrom's room at the beginning of 5th period. That would be room 205.
Students & Teachers: The "Buy One Get One Free" Book Fair is back! Come stock up on reading material for the summer. Book Fair will be open Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 7:30 to 3:30 and Tuesday after TAKS retesting is complete. Thanks and hope to see you soon!
