This announcement is for all incoming 8th graders that have signed up to be a member of the '08-'09 Starduster Drillteam - There will be a mandatory parents' meeting on Thursday, May 29th, at 7:00pm. The meeting will be held in the NBMS cafeteria. Parents will get information about Uniforms and their cost, practice schedules, P.E. requirements and other information about next year's drillteam. You may pick up a flyer in the office or from Coach Winki.
Well the BIG day has finally arrived. It's time for the 4th Annual FCA Krud War. All FCA members will be meeting at NEWK'S main lodge at 3:30 and will march bravely to the traditional KrudWar field. The question on everyone's lips is who will win? Will it be the 7th grade or the 8th grade? Only those with courage enough to attend will ever know for sure. It is rumored that our own Mr. De La Garza has challenged both grades in this yearly contest. I'm not sure, but I don't think this activity has any similarities to a football game. Remember FCA members, you need to wear your best Krud War clothes and bring your best Krud War towel. We will be through at 4:30. Your parents can pick you up at the main lodge.
This announcement is for any 7th or 8th grade girl interested in learning some drillteam skills with the NBHS Monocera drillteam in early June. Coach Winki has flyers explaining about this drill clinic that will be held at the high school. There are also flyers in the NBMS office.
Student Council members - please remember that our end of the year party is tonight at 8pm at the bowling alley.
If you are planning on going please give Mr. Alcala or Mrs. Shephard a heads up so they can order enough pizzas and drinks.
Attention all 7th graders: If you are interested in taking part of an aerodynamics summer science camp please see your science teacher, the front office or a counselor for a form.
Attention all 7th graders: If you would like to be a part of the yearbook staff and morning announcement crew you must attend a short meeting in room 506 on Tuesday may 27th at 2:50. If you can not make the meeting come by and see Mrs. Cooper before Tuesday.
The Moncera Dance Clinic will be held on June 5th & 6th for all 6th through 8th graders. It will be held in the gym at the high school from 9am to 3pm. The price is $75 pers student. You can get more information from the front office or Coach Winki.
All students who have medication in the nurse office need to pick this up by the last day of school, or the medicine will be thrown away. You may come by any day at the end of 7th period, or after school. Do not come earlier in the day because you can not keep the medication with you, and we will make you return.
