This message is for all 8th grade girls interested in trying out for either Mystics of Freshman Cheerleader. There will be an informational meeting on January 28 at the high school at 7:00pm. You AND a parent or guardian MUST be in attendance to get a packet and to be eligible to tryout. You can pick up an information sheet from Coach Winki beginning today.

This announcement is for last semester's Personal Best students - If you would like to pick up your composition book from Coach Winki, you may do so starting Wednesday. She will keep them until Friday, Jan. 25.

This is a very important message for all LEO club members that are going to the Lexington. You need to pick up a flyer from Coach Winki by Friday Jan. 25. The $25 deposit is due at the LEO club meeting on Wednesday, January 30. The New Braunfels Noon Lions are going to pay half of your trip fee. Don't miss this chance spend a weekend on a piece of history. If you don't get your deposit in by the meeting, it will be too late!

Congratulations to the 8th grade girls basketball teams! Both A and B teams defeated Canyon last night to earn the title of District Champions. The A-team won 60-43. Angela Lowak scored 20 points and Caitlyn Gillum scored 14.
The B-team defeated Canyon 33-25. Leading scorers were Georgeanne Palmer with 13 points and Megan Cattin who scored 6 points. Both teams will play in the post-season tournament this weekend beginning Thursday at Canyon middle school. Come out and watch the Lady unicorns fight to become the Conference Champions!

We had a great response for book club, and we will have our first meeting on Tuesday, January 29 in the library from 3:00-3:30. We will be discussing and voting on possible book titles. If you cannot attend the meeting, please go by the library and see Mrs. Zaleski for some important information.

All schedule requests will be due on Friday, Jan 25th at 2:45pm in counseling office.

Congratulations to the Cheerleading Squad for placing 3rd at Nationals this past weekend in Galveston.

Athlete of the weekend goes to Stephanie Word who broke her finger during the Prelims on Saturday and went on to compete in the Finals on Sunday.
